Thomas James is a London based director, writer & artist originally hailing from Wolverhampton, England.

His work often toys with visceral surrealism, the poetic and the uncanny. A keen sense of emotive narrative often underpins his cinematic and refined aesthetic approach.

Thomas has been nominated for and has won numerous awards, including multiple UKMVAs, 1.4 Awards, British Arrows, and in 2023 won best director at the Creative Circle Awards.

He's worked with brands such as Doritos, Bolt, Ballantines, and Natwest Bank. He has created films for a range of musicians, including Kneecap, Young Fathers, Primal Scream, Bring Me The Horizon & Sam Fender. He has had narrative works commissioned by Jonas Akerlund, The Museum of Witchcraft, a nationwide VOD film with the English National Ballet & a short drama for the charity The Department of Opportunities.

His first feature film ‘Tender Omens’ is currently in pre-production having been announced last year.
